Acceptance

So, something happened in my class today that was really hard for me. I was faced with a outburst of politics.

To be clear, I have incredibly unwavering opinions on this election. But in my class, in my fitness room, we don't talk politics. We speak a language, defined by our mutual desire for a healthier life; physically, mentally and spiritually. That is universal language, and I am so grateful for it.

When you walk into the room of my Tae Bo® Fitness Class or my Boxing Class, you are accepted.

  • As you are.

  • Where you are.

  • With whatever you have to give to the class.

Period.

In my class - we are safe. It is a place for you to sweat, to push through your fatigue, to shut out the demands of life even if just for an hour - so that you and I can work on ourselves. Make ourselves better people - whatever that means to each of us.

In my class, I want you to feel safe; so safe that I can challenge you physically and mentally and you won't question my motives. Because my motives are solely to support you where you are and to help you go where you want to go. My heart, my soul, my existence, is to help make this world a better place. And when YOU as students are encouraged to be better in all the ways YOU desire - this world becomes better.

So here is my reminder to you, because I absolutely love and adore you.

My Classes Are:

  • SAFE

  • LOVING

  • EMPOWERING

  • ACCEPTING

  • and just fun!

If you ever feel anything other than the above - please let me know. It is my absolute conviction to ensure all who come are welcomed and all who come are loved.

And all who come, will work their asses off.

I love you. Literally. I love you all.
